There Are Now 56 Paint Schemes
The new 2019 paint schemes all reference designated Dunn-Edwards paint colors. If you visit their store at 360 E. Thousand Oaks Bl., (805) 418-6100, and provide Account Number 188517-000, you "save up to 37% off LIST PRICE on Dunn-Edwards manufactured paint products."
What Are My Options for Viewing the Colors?
First, view the paint schemes directly on the special web page created by Dunn-Edwards specifically for Oakridge Estates.
Second, on this page, associated with each paint scheme, you will see an ORDER COLOR CHIPS link. Click on it, follow the instructions, and Dunn-Edwards will send you paint chips that define that scheme.
Third, you can get small color samples of about 8 oz (sizes vary—mine varied from 7.25 to 7.87 oz) for about $5 each at the Dunn-Edwards store.
You can also visit any paint store (e.g., Home Depot or Lowe's) and give them a Dunn-Edwards paint color name, as all paint stores have mixing formulas in their computer for Dunn-Edwards colors. They will mix you an equivalent color, but it will not be a Dunn-Edwards paint.
The Process for Painting Your House
Paint Trim Only
If you are planning to paint only the trim, you need to submit a Paint Trim Only form. Download it here:
Then go to Step 3 below.
Paint Entire House
If you intend to paint your entire home, i.e., the body (stucco plus siding) and the trim, then you need to submit a Paint Entire House request. Follow the steps below.
Step 1. Choose one of the 56 approved paint schemes that are shown on the Dunn-Edwards website.
Step 2. Download the Paint Entire House form:
Step 3. Complete and submit the request. The management company will notify you when they have received your request. The Architectural Committee will respond within 30 days with an approval, conditional approval, or denial. Plan accordingly. Do not begin painting until after the committee has approved your request!
Step 4. Complete your painting project. When you have finished, complete an Architectural Completion Form and submit it. This form closes the loop and both informs the Architectural Committee that you are finished and enables them to confirm that you have completed the task as you originally specified it.
