TITLE: Oakridge Fire of October 1980
DESCRIPTION: Properly line walls had not been built yet. This view of the top of Calle Valle Vista shows a more threatening fire than the Springs Fire of 2013. Homeowners were terrified. However, trees were tiny and wooden patio covers were non-existent, meaning there were fewer target for the fire. Not all homes on the street were occupied. We had been in our house for only a month. Fire engines were red.
